Most people who try to do their own bond clean fail it. Moving house is exhausting on its own, and a bond clean needs a level of detail most people simply don't have the energy or experience for after everything else involved in moving. Real estate agents photograph every part of the property and will flag anything that's not up to standard — any mark, any missed detail.

Take a kitchen, for example. Most people wipe down the visible surfaces — the top of the stove, the benches — but rarely tackle the oven properly, or the grout on older tiled kitchens. By the time bond inspection comes around, an oven that's been neglected for a year or more can take hours of work on its own to get back to standard. It's one of the most common reasons people fail their own bond clean, and it's exactly the kind of job we specialise in.

A bond clean is a different job to a regular house clean. Window tracks, inside and outside glass, exterior window mesh, light fittings taken down and cleaned out, switches, power points, fans — everything gets checked, and often pressure washing of outside areas as well. For an average three-bedroom home, we'll usually send three to four people and expect to be there most of the day.
